Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Alison Doody first made a movie debut as a Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was invited by a photographer, and began to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy she extended to her acting career. Once she caught the attention of the casting director for a James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the character Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 TV film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody acted with Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody appeared in the 1991 British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody came back to acting in 2003, playing a small role in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. In 2004, Doody was in the film with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled set to take on the role of lead for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
