Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born August 26 the 26th of August, 2002. He is also known as Lil Tecca. He gained mainstream recognition due to the release of the 2019 single "Ransom" that reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was part of his first mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019) that peaked at the 4th spot on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also featured the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". The debut album of his studio, Virgo (2020), debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles "Dolly" & "When You Down". His follow-up mixtape, called We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 . It included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, an Jamaican native, immigrated to the United States in Queens on the 26th of August 2002. Sharpe was raised in Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens and later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe had always hoped to join the NBA as a youngster, but at the age of 12 Sharpe decided to pursue a profession in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. When Tecca was nine years old, he responded to his love of music by rapping with his friends using his Xbox. One of their tracks about diss was posted to SoundCloud some time ago but it was removed. In the early years of his life when he was a kid, he did not have any plans of making music a living and instead envisioned becoming an NBA star. As he entered middle school however, he began to become bored with basketball and took music seriously. His first song to become well-known, "Tectri", was created by Lil Gummybear in collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of 2017. Tecca also dropped "Callin", another of his first songs. His hit single "Ransom," which was first posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 2019 marked the beginning of Tecca's meteoric rise. It reached the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900 million times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
