Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Her debut in a feature film was a small part in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donnevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody began modelling after being approached by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that was carried into her acting. In 1985, after being noticed by the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was on John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising new actors for 1986. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the role Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. She performed the role of Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role ever in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played the role in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend in Major League II. Doody was a part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony for an award. The year 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Doody was a guest on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was presented to her on the 21st of November, 2018. In addition, she was awarded a star on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
