Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural at sports early in her life, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix had graduated high school in 2003 signed an athletic contract with Adidas. She then attended college at the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. A year later Felix achieved her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record doing 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200 meter race. She was able to defend the title at the 2007 World Championships, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of the events.
