Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on 11th November 1966. Alison Doody made her film debut as an actress and Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modelling when she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs when she was modeling. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody appeared as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the character Doody was and is - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. Another film from her early days played a tiny part in the film in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part in the film Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role ever in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publication scam. After moving to Hollywood Doody made her an international star. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After nearly a decade from the stage Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. The year 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody was a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. In 2011 she began the first of two seasons on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
